A few thoughts about God

What is it with the G word that causes minds to plod?
That’s it………….. The one you’re thinking.
The confusion seen as God.

You’re right; it’s not some geezer, as in old man on a cloud.
An entertaining image, long established ways allowed.
Many keep thoughts private, not wishing to seem odd.
Why not be free to ponder all other views of God?

To reflect upon great principles of love and guiding right.
Reach far beyond traditions, fresh concept to delight.

Forget the unexpected, perhaps appalling news,
If no one can explain it,
Then it’s God whom some abuse.

When risks are deemed exceptional.
Insurers will declare.
Sorry they are acts of God.
Not covered.
Is that fair?
Are insurers all religious and in businesses devout?
No..… the term is now contractual to leave key cover out.

One thought is of a presence, no face or form to see.
No person, as in human on throne in sky for me.
Reflect upon a brilliance, an overwhelming light,
That emanates great consciousness not known in earthly type.
Not physical .…..Ethereal ………
Less form….… Ablaze and bright.

You sense beyond the vision there is rampant higher thought.
That creates intense emotion,
Love greater than is taught.
The waves of understanding both offer and impart,
An awareness that’s all knowing, to uplift the human heart.’

Seek far beyond creation, to the source behind all thought.
Not divisions in religions where silly wars are fought.

Reflecting on the G word
Helps thoughts to realign,
With peace, great love and purpose.
Three letters define the divine.
